  • Bleak Contemplative Cinema

    Hi all

I'm trying to discover more directors who make bleak, slow, contemplative films maybe a little similar to Diaz, Bartas, and Tarr. I guess Fred Kelemen could also apply, but I'm having trouble thinking of others, and wondered if you might have any suggestions, please?

    Thanks

    Robert Bresson

Aleksandr Sokurov especially the Elegy series he made. Russian Elegy, Elegy of a Voyage, Oriental Elegy, Dolce, Confession. And then Mother and Son, etc. Such a large body of work, documentaries and fiction
