    Any suggestions for documentaris that use archive material.
    Preferably exclusive.
    I know of Arnaud des Pallieres

    Loznitsa

    but other titles would be welcome.

    That's quite a wide question. Many (experimental) documentaries employ archival material, be it film, photos, or other documents ...

    For (nearly) exclusive use of archival film footage check out the films by Péter Forgács

    Furthermore: Chris Marker's Le fond de l'air est rouge, Vincent Monnikendam's Moeder Dao, de schildpadgelijkende & John Akomfrah's Handsworth Songs

    Other filmmakers making experimental and elusive use of 'found' (archival) footage are, among others:
    Arthur Lipsett, Craig Baldwin, Bruce Conner, Peter Delpeut, Leslie Thornton ...

    Also, there are the more mainstream docs by Ken Burns or Adam Curtis, but I assume you already know these.
